Getting around pallet height stacking
limitations
What is believed to be the world's first palletiser that is capable of inserting pallets mid-stack without operator intervention will suit users having limitations on pallet heights.
Systems integrators Industrial Automation have invented the world's first palletiser that is capable of inserting pallets mid-stack without operator intervention This feature is likely to be popular with companies that may have limitations on pallet heights such as retailers with outlets in urban areas that are unable to cope with the off-load of full-height pallets

Denso appoints robotic systems integrator
Industrial Automation Limited (IAL) is the first UK Systems Integrator for 4- and 6-axis robots made by Denso Robotics, Japan.
This will allow despatch areas to load vehicles with pallet heights up to 9 feet and for the receiving store to unload the vehicle with workable pallet heights.
The pallet can be added at any point within the stack.
The 'Smart Palletiser' works in a unique way by stacking products from the bottom up.
A particular advantage of the unit is that, with a footprint of 4.45 m2 and a height of just 1.2m, it requires less floor space and headroom than conventional top-loading palletisers.
It is ideally suited to high volume, low density palletising and can handle loads up to 500kg; it can load a typical 13 box layer in 30 seconds.
It is plc controlled with a 20-programme capacity and can be linked to barcode readers and suitable in-feed conveyors, allowing multiple line in-feed of product without operator intervention.
The 'Smart Palletiser' has also been designed with minimal maintenance requirements.
A similar system is also available for loads up to 1000kg but does not have the capability to insert pallets mid-stack.
The first installations of the 'Smart Palletiser' have been within printing houses and one of the country's leading snack producers.
