Low cost relays have more capabilities
IDEC have introduced the SmartRelay FL1D series, which introduces extra capabilities at the same low cost as earlier SmartRelay series.

Analogue, thermocouple modules are faster
IDEC has upgraded the original two and three channel analogue and thermocouple modules, reducing sampling duration, total input system transfer and total output system transfer times.
Touch screen programming with Vista
Multiple functions such as Bit Write, Word Write, Goto Screen commands can be incorporated in one screen button
Many different functions can be programmed including timing, counting, calendar/clock operations, text displays etc.
Different supply options, the ability to set up analogue inputs and volt free contacts rated at 10A means the SmartRelay had the flexibility to meet any control situation requiring sequencing/ timed/counting operations.
With the introduction of an analogue output expander block, the FL1D can perform closed loop control (PI - proportional and integral), for example an industrial food fryer which would require close maintaining of a set temperature.
Another new function like the Analogue Ramp would provide varying speed levels for motors/conveyers.
When you consider the FL1D can pack up to 130 of these functions in its memory and can add up to seven expansion I/O blocks, it can be seen what a powerful device this SmartRelay is.
'Smart by name and Smart by nature'.
When using the programming software your control circuit can be simulated and tested before downloading into the FL1D, so providing easy checking of your intended application.
Options 12, 24V DC, 24V AC or 100 to 240V AC or DC supply options, 0 to 10V analogue inputs and outputs, 1kHz high speed counters and relay or transistor outputs.
