Control engineers, suppliers, integrators have all been content with their own disciplines- however now it is realised that the commonality of data requires new approaches.
Even with novel system functionality constantly being introduced, consistent integration principles are required by all.
Among the many standards, the SP-95 Standard, which has adopted the Purdue University model has come to the fore.
SAP and Microsoft have recently (2005) endorsed this model.
The seminar will address this standard as the main thrust, but will bring in other viewpoints and methodologies.
As regards the business processes, reference will be made to tools (for documenting business models) but the emphasis will be on the approach to developing business models or incorporating legacy models.
