Partnership drives expansion into China
Intralink will provide a sales channel for Intelliden to offer its Intelligent Networking Solutions to communications service providers in Japan
Intelliden, a leading provider of Intelligent Networking solutions that enable organisations to control, manage and scale their networks, is expanding its presence in the Japanese telecommunications market with the appointment of Intralink as its business development partner.
Under this agreement, Intralink will provide a sales channel for Intelliden to offer its Intelligent Networking Solutions to communications service providers in Japan.
Through the new office, Intelliden will provide extensive sales, marketing, product support and training to maximise customer success.
Intelliden will be joining Intralink's Surrogate Sales Program - a practical and cost-effective solution for technology companies to gain access to - and support - customers in the Japanese market.
"We are seeing a growing demand for our solutions among communications service providers delivering next generation services to consumers and businesses in the Asia Pacific region".
"Intralink will introduce new channels through its innovative and proven sales program, and we look forward to early and significant revenue traction in Japan," said Alan Black, president and CEO of Intelliden.
Intralink CEO, James Lawson, added, "The Japanese telecommunications sector is strategically important and, in many cases, is the primary reference point for other Asian operators".
"We recognise the leading position that Intelliden has developed in North America and Europe and we are pleased to bring our experience and unique approach to Intelliden's expansion initiative in Japan".
The agreement will give Intelliden access to the fast-growing market segment for next generation broadband services delivered over IP networks.
In recent years, Japan has seen rapid growth in FTTH and ADSL subscribers and currently has a broadband penetration of more than 40%.
Ultimate commercial success of broadband will depend on the ability of communication service providers to deliver next generation services, such as IPTV, video-on-demand (VoD), online gaming and VOIP, with a high quality of service (QoS), great user experience, and low operating costs.
Intelliden's solutions offer service providers the ability to accurately provision network resources in a dynamic and state-aware manner; to efficiently operate complex, large IP networks accurately and automatically; and to effectively enforce sophisticated compliance policies for regulatory, security and organisational mandates.
