A special quick action fixture has solved the problem of securing large curved surfaces for hardness testing of spades and shovels.

Indentec has solved the problem of securing large curved surfaces for hardness testing with this special fixture for Irish manufacturer True Temper Mounted on an Indentec digital tester, the quick action fixture is designed to grip spades, shovels and post holing implements for testing

The curved surfaces on the specimen are secured between self aligning three point supports on upper and lower clamping arms.

A hole in the upper arm provides access to the test area for the indenter as the machine's test table is raised and the test procedure initiated.

The fixture can accommodate a variety of differently sized and shaped tools.
