A manually operated fixture allows standard Rockwell hardness testers to carry out Jominy harden ability tests as precisely as machines equipped with more costly mechanised drives.
This new manually operated fixture from Indentec enables the Company's standard Rockwell hardness testers to carry out Jominy harden ability tests as precisely as machines equipped with more costly mechanized drives It provides a digital display of linear movement switchable between Imperial and metric to a measuring resolution of 0.01mm and 0.0005 inch

Believed to be the first that a digital Vickers hardness testing machine has been adapted for robotic operation, a system has been configured for a Spanish stainless steel plant.
