One RF system reads, writes ID tags
The first RF identification system for AS-interface allows reading and writing of ID tags with just one device, while benefiting from the advantages of AS-i.
Ifm electronic, an AS-interface founder member, has brought out the first ever RFID system that simply plugs into the AS-i network No special controller is needed because the AS-i master controls the data

IFM Electronic's has developed a pump diagnostic pressure sensor that continuously monitors and detects cavitation, trapped air and blockages.
With the DTA100 ifm electronic presents an industrially compatible identification system on RFID basis.
The DTA100 is the first RF identification system for AS-interface worldwide and it allows reading and writing of ID tags with just one device, while benefiting from the advantages of AS-i.
This system can be integrated into existing systems and is immediately operational.
Special software for parameter setting or evaluation is not required.
This system uses the AS-i profile 7.4, allowing connection of up to 31 DTA 100 to one master.
The compact read/write head (55 x 24 x 40mm) includes, in addition to the antenna, the complete evaluation and the interface to AS-interface in one housing.
Connection is via an industry-standard M12 connector.
The ID tags are read with a speed of up to 0.5m/s.
The distance to the read/write head can be up to 20mm.
A separate voltage supply for the system is not required since the system is directly supplied via the yellow AS-i flat cable.
In addition to various fixing options for the read/write head ifm electronic also offers ID tags for screw mounting or in tag fixtures for workpiece carriers.
Some tags will withstand temperatures up to 130 deg C, so the identity of the product is not lost during the manufacturing process. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
