Compact laser sensor measures up to 10m
A compactly housed diffuse type laser sensor has a range of up to 10m can be used in a wide range of inspection tasks from simple poduct counting to the monitoring of assemblies.
Ifm electronic has used PMD techniques to develop a compactly housed, diffuse type laser sensor with a range of 10m and background suppression The efector pmd O1D101 can carry out a wiide range of tasks from simple counting to assembly monitoring

Inductive proximity sensors made for metalworking
Proximity sensors from ifm electronic are designed to resist contact with metal components and have a long-lasting anti-spatter coating.
The sensor can be adapted to the corresponding application to within a millimetre using the teach mode.
Visible laser light ensures easy alignment to the object.
The light spot diameter is only 6mm for the maximum range.
A four-digit alphanumeric LED display indicates the exact distance to the object or background.
The user can set the PNP semiconductor output to 'normally closed' or 'normally open'.
At the 'heart' of the sensor is the PMD chip - an innovative on-chip time-of-flight measurement system.
The special feature is that transmitter and receiver are integrated on one chip.
This allows compact housing dimensions of just 42 x 45 x 52mm.
The diffuse type laser sensor was made on request of many customers.
It is a low-cost alternative to the distance sensor O1D100 which also has an analogue output and a second switch point. Request a free brochure from IFM Electronic ...
