Chain tube guards against sawdust and
chips
Cable and services protective tube chain systems are already used extensively to guide cables on woodworking machinery to prevent sawdust and small wooden chips from falling through.
The new, small size, fully enclosed E6 tube from igus protects against light debris, weld splatter and sawdust Its smooth motion means it has very low noise and vibration levels, even at high speeds and accelerations

Profile roller energy chain is fast and quiet
For transmitiing energy and data to indoor and outdoor crane equipment and conveyor systems, Igus has dveloped its 'System P4' roller energy chain for even quieter operational smoothness.
Machine tool control cables take high loads
Machiner tool control cables take high loads Energy chain manufacturer, igus, has introduced machine tool control cables for dynamic applications with high cycle rates under high loads.
The energy tube's modular 6-piece link design enables easy opening and offers flexibility in lengthening and shortening.
There are multiple options for interior separation and mounting brackets.

Energy chains investigated for vibration
RWTH Aachen recently carried out a study, 'Vibration investigations on energy chains', which showed that igus' E6' energy chain exhibited minimum vibration and maximum smooth running.
Why oil or grease bearings - go plastics
Igus reported that a recent study found half of machinery lubricants seep into soil and water or evaporates, whereas tribo-optimised plastics bearings need no oil or grease.
Current applications exist at wood processing centres, on woodworking machine tools, woodworking routers, milling machines, wood processing machines, stacking devices for chipboard and a tree-paring machine.
Whilst sawdust and small wooden chips are able to fall through open Energy Chains, the enclosed energy tubes from igus prevent this from happening, even when located directly in the chip area.

In addition, igus has recently launched Triflex R, the fully enclosed flexible Energy Chain with freedom of movement in all three axis.
The long-life, modular robot cable guiding system has an identical bending radius in each direction.
The system can be shortened or lengthened at virtually any point, without the need for additional reinforcements, such as steel ropes and spring-action devices are not required.
Due to its round-shaped, enclosed design, Triflex R offers protection against welding spray, dirt and filth and its smooth inner contour protects and extends the life of the cables.
Both products will be on show to visitors to Woodmex 2004 on stand no.

igus is the largest producer of injection moulded polymer bearings and reinforced plastic Energy Chains in the world.
These seemingly unrelated products are linked together through the belief in making functionally advanced, yet affordable polymer components and assemblies.
The company employs over 1,000 people in Germany and 24 subsidiary companies and works with representative partners in more than 21 other countries.
Energy Chain System, Energy Chain, Triflex and igus are registered trademarks of igus in the Federal Republic of Germany and in some foreign countries. Request a free brochure from Igus UK ...
