Machine tool control cables take high loads
Machiner tool control cables take high loads Energy chain manufacturer, igus, has introduced machine tool control cables for dynamic applications with high cycle rates under high loads.
The two-piece design is used with a mobile universal ball joint and boasts a quick and easy manual assembly.
Simply clip into place and the extremely robust, spherical bearing is ready to use.
Furthermore, an igubal clip bearing saves space due to its flat design and reduces noise: nothing rattles.
Clip bearings are an ideal replacement for metallic bearings, which do not compensate for misalignment.
Due to the material used, clip bearings have all the usual igubal advantages, such as being insensitive to dirt, maintenance-free and corrosion-resistant.
They are also lightweight, because they are made from the self-lubricating, polymer material iglidur J.
This material is responsible for a low coefficient of friction between the shaft and spherical cap.
Numerous tests in the igus laboratories means it is possible to calculate the lifetime of the new igubal clip bearing in several different applications.
Some examples include sheet metalworking, handling and seating.
The new bearing is also perfect for size reduction machines.
The current ex stock range comes in sizes 10, 12 and 16mm for a sheet thickness of 3 mm.
Other standard dimension and sheet metal dimensions are in preparation.
Special dimensions can be realised quickly. Request a free brochure from Igus UK ...
