All iglidur plastics bearings come in the traditional sleeve, flange and thrust washer design, but they can also be custom moulded to meet the parameters of an unconventional application.
A bearing in any shape, such as a square, trapezoid or rectangle, can be moulded in almost any size.
Historically, igus has made a habit of listening to its customers.
When the company was founded in the UK in 1991, just five materials were available.
Most of its polymer materials have developed out of customer requests for special attributes.
For example, iglidur H was developed to meet the critical needs of low water absorption and high temperature resistance for customers in the automotive industry.

All iglidur bearings are self-lubricating, maintenance-free, UV-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
At start-up, these high performance bearings transfer material to the shaft and coat it with low friction material.
