Maintenance-free belt drive positions
small loads
A belt drive allows fast positioning of small loads, is maintenance-free and dirt resistant and has a hard anodised aluminium profile that is corrosion free, quiet and lightweight.
MACH returns to the NEC, UK in May: an exhibition igus UK has been exhibiting at since 1992 The latter will unveil a brand new belt drive at the show and show off its enclosed and heavy duty energy chain cable carriers and a range of Desina compliant cables

Profile roller energy chain is fast and quiet
For transmitiing energy and data to indoor and outdoor crane equipment and conveyor systems, Igus has dveloped its 'System P4' roller energy chain for even quieter operational smoothness.
Machine tool control cables take high loads
Machiner tool control cables take high loads Energy chain manufacturer, igus, has introduced machine tool control cables for dynamic applications with high cycle rates under high loads.
The new ZLW belt drive allows fast positioning of small loads, is maintenance-free and dirt resistant.
The hard anodized aluminium profile is also corrosion free, quiet and lightweight.
The small, fully enclosed E6 tube from igus protects against light debris, weld splatter and sawdust.
Its smooth motion means it has very low noise and vibration levels, even at high speeds and accelerations.
The energy tube's modular six-piece link design enables easy opening and offers flexibility in lengthening and shortening.
There are multiple options for interior separation and mounting brackets.
Moving energy chains need to be able to guide heavy cables over long distances in tough, dirty conditions and at high speeds.
With this in mind, igus has developed a 'heavy duty' version of its System E4/4 energy chain.
The reinforced polymer chain is designed to withstand and guide extreme loads of up to 30kg reliably, at speeds of more than 5m/s.
With the use of centre straps, these values can be increased many times over, so that high electrical charges can be carried at great speed.
A range of cables that conform to the Desina standard for the electrical and fluid power industries will also be on display.
