Low cost energy chain is quickly
installed

A universal energy chain for everyday cable applications has a simple design, is low cost and its polymer cable carrier's prefabricated snap fasteners mean it can be quickly installed.

igus has developed System E1, a universal energy chain for everyday cable applications The simple design is low cost and available in lengths of 25cm

The polymer cable carrier's prefabricated snap fasteners mean it can be quickly installed.

Energy chains are typically associated with highly specialised, dynamic applications, but new igus system E1 can be used for new applications encountered daily in the workplace.

A tiltable display board, for instance, or swivelling cabinet doors, computers, retractable and extractable server drawers, or other office equipment.

Other applications include automated service machines, including cash and coffee dispensers, lifts, static or minimally moved applications, such as the seat adjustment devices in airplanes.

* Variable chain lengths - the sections of this universal cable carrier are suspended on a modular, 25cm band of chain, which can be shortened or lengthened as required on any chain link.

An elastic, flexible snap fastener strap makes this possible, by connecting each chain link to the next.

This means that the user can easily specify how many chain bands he will finally join together to form one piece, using one connecting strap.

It is equally simple to fill the chain.

The cover fixed onto the band can be easily opened to feed cables inside, then snapped closed again.

With an inner height of 20mm and an inner width of 15mm, the new energy chain has been dimensioned in the best possible way for office equipment applications and other applications of this size.

* Drilled mounting hole - connecting components to mount System E1 are not required.

The five, small, drilled holes at the bottom of each chain link enable the chain to be supported.

Simple screws or rivets are sufficient here, so no installation costs are incurred.

Depending on the application, it would even be possible to screw two energy chains together in parallel form.

The E1 can be delivered in one piece in various materials and colours.

This means the energy chain can be integrated into modern office designs or comply with fire safety regulations if required, for example. Request a free brochure from Igus UK ...
