Igus UK has moved to new premises
igus UK has moved to a modern site on the Brackmills Industrial Estate in Northampton, which includes a new office and warehousing facility at Brackmills is 28,000ft2.

Why oil or grease bearings - go plastics
Igus reported that a recent study found half of machinery lubricants seep into soil and water or evaporates, whereas tribo-optimised plastics bearings need no oil or grease.
The new office and warehousing facility at Brackmills is 28,000ft2 and is nearly 1,000 times bigger than the founding office.
To give an idea of how far the company has come in the past 15 years, a lock up storage unit approximately the same size as the first office building has just been rented to house all archived paperwork.
Since its inception, the company has attributed its growth to the vast range of industries in which its products can be used.
Sales are roughly split between the automotive sector, 10%, the construction industry, 10%, machine tools, 5%, and the aerospace sector, 5%.
The remaining 70% are evenly spread across UK industry.
The move was a multi million pound project and customers are encouraged to visit the new facility, which includes bigger warehousing facilities and a glass enclosed sales office featuring yellow pillars and chrome fixtures, developed along the same lines as the 202,899ft2 igus headquarters in Cologne.
"The infrastructure allows us the flexibility to react quickly to changing customer demands, especially when supplying systems," Matthew Aldridge, company director, said.
