Quality and Lean Conference covers six
sigma
The Institute of Industrial Engineers' and Atlanta's American Society for Quality's "Quality and Lean Conference" will cover six sigma.
A recent article on whether "Uncle Sam should help domestic manufacturers" by James Pethokoukis in "US News and World Report" caused a stir among quality professionals, especially in light of the possible slashing of funds for the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Even twenty years after most companies started six sigma quality programs, there is still a need for manufacturers and non-manufacturing companies to step up quality programs, increase lean initiatives and focus on customer value These points will be covered at the Institute of Industrial Engineers' and Atlanta's American Society for Quality's "Quality and Lean Conference", starting October 30 in Atlanta, Georgia, where some of the most innovative companies and thinkers will disclose their best practices to a targeted group of quality, Lean and Six Sigma professionals at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia
