Magnetic sensors replace Hall effect

Inertial Aerosystems has launched a range of low cost, surface mount, magnetic sensors which accurately measure linear and angular displacement and offer better performance than Hall Effect devices.
Inertial Aerosystems has launched a range of low cost, surface mount, magnetic sensors which accurately measure linear and angular displacement and offer better performance than Hall Effect devices When used with a magnetic field source >80 gauss, each sensor can monitor changes in the source/sensor position to produce either an angular output of magnetic field direction, up to +/-90 degrees (resolution.0.07 deg), or a linear position output with a range of up to 8mm per sensor
These devices are ideal for mounting on rotating shafts or for multiple use in linear arrays.
High bandwidth, operating temperature from -40C to +85 C and rugged, lightweight construction make these sensors ideal for use in Industrial and Process Controls, Automobile electronics, Alarm systems, replacement of inductive instrumentation and medical orthopaedics.
