Global coding and marking company Imaje celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year

Global coding and marking company Imaje celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year, but rather than becoming complacent having experienced 25th years of success, Imaje is even more determined and ready to meet the constant challenges of the coding and labelling market.

Since its inception in 1982 the worldwide growth of Imaje has been driven by the continuously changing needs of customers requiring innovative, high quality and reliable product identification solutions.

The coding and labelling industry has been subjected to increased pressure over the years, as legislation has demanded stricter controls on product marking, labelling and traceability.

Imaje has worked tirelessly to meet these demands and has repositioned itself from a mono-technological inkjet company to a total solutions provider in the coding, marking and labelling arena.

The result, explains Serge Kral, COO responsible for Imaje worldwide business, is "an increasingly market-driven orientation enabling us to provide our customers, regardless of the country, with customised solutions including printers, consumables, software and services.

With increased emphasis on product information, labelling and traceability, coding and labelling of goods must be an integral part of the manufacturing process, working seamlessly on production and packaging lines.

Imaje's pursuit of excellence has resulted in the introduction of new ranges across all technologies, together with traceability software and database solutions to manage and thereby simplify coding and labelling processes.

The Imaje 9000 range of small character inkjet printers was designed with the FMCG market in mind.

The Imaje 9020 and 9030 meet all standard coding requirements on primary packaging applications providing consistent printing quality, easy operation and a simple user interface.

Versatility is enhanced by the bi-jet option for more text at higher speeds.

The Imaje 2000 series print and apply system, shortly after its launch, won two awards (The Red Dot Design Award and the IF Product Design Award) for its unique modular design, ease of installation, operation and maintenance as well as its functionality.

Imaje has incorporated this award winning design into its new pallet labeller soon to be launched in the UK.

For outer case coding the Imaje 4020 large character inkjet printer combines the acknowledged user-friendliness of the Crayon Plus with the simplicity of the Crayon X-tra whilst providing improved printing capabilities, flexibility and connectivity.

Imaje has equipment to meet all types of coding and labelling applications from product to pallet.

However, the key to high quality coding, as well as optimum equipment performance, is how and where to use the different technologies.

Imaje, therefore, works in consultation with customers to develop bespoke solutions for specific applications.

This customer-focused approach has resulted in longstanding relationships with food manufacturers throughout the world; a factor that Imaje feels has greatly contributed to its success over the last 25 years.

A consultative approach to selling solutions, coupled with an astute knowledge of coding, marking and labelling legislation in all industry sectors, ensures Imaje not only satisfies rapidly evolving demands, but also anticipates them.
