GM Delphi uses VisSim to reduce brake control system prototyping time from 2 months to 2 days.
After each read, the Visidot Local Management Software automatically associates and prints an SSCC pallet label, providing full traceability of all items across the supply chain.
When planning the project, Groupe Jacquet considered using handheld scanners or RFID gates to identify the boxes.
They found that handheld scanning of individual boxes was not practical and that available RFID solutions did not meet their stringent accuracy requirements.
Pedro Ferrandiz, Groupe Jacquet Logistics Director, explains, "We needed an automated data collection solution that would work with our current processes - with 100% accuracy, of course".
"Visidot analysed our operations and provided a comprehensive solution using the Visidot Readers, handheld scanners and a user-friendly local management system".
With the system running for several months at six plants already, Ferrandiz continues, "We are very satisfied with the results - and so are our customers".
"Our orders are 100% accurate, our process is automated and we are in full compliance for traceability with the General Food Law".
Danny Nadri, VP International Sales for Visidot, comments, "The installation at Groupe Jacquet is a excellent example of how Visidot ensures accurate shipments and full traceability for fresh food".
While the Visidot solution has already established itself as the standard method for identifying and tracking reusable assets, Groupe Jacquet represents a significant milestone for the Visidot solution and with consumer and retail-oriented products.
Nadri continues, "Alongside our recent successes with tracking automotive parts, these systems at the Groupe Jacquet facilities for tracking fresh food show the robustness and versatility of the Visidot solution".
