More flexibility added to pneumatic valve island

A Norgren product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Aug 25, 2005

Following on from the successful launch in 2004 of a high performance valve island series the manufacturer thas added a number of useful options to the series.

In response to customer needs Norgren has added more flexibility to its VS18/VS26 valve islands.

Following on from the successful launch in 2004 of this high performance valve island series the Swiss design team responded to feedback from the market and have added a number of useful options to the series.

* Distributed fieldbus - within the field of automation systems there is a growing demand for decentralised solutions for control.

In response to this demand Norgren has optimised the design of the VS18/VS26 to be compatible with its FD67 distributed I/O solutions.

Offering VS18/VS26 with FD67 fieldbus I/O system enables direct control of valve islands from FD67 nodes as part of a distributed system.

* CNOMO Standard - now featuring an M23 19 pin connector the VS18/VS26 series addresses the CNOMO standard E03.62.530.N within the European automotive industry.

This robust metal connector is suitable for 24V DC and 115V AC valve islands and Multipole valve islands with an M23 connector as well as the corresponding M23 cables with connectors are available.

* Additional accessories - in a direct response to customers needs Norgren has extended the Sandwich plates that are available for this innovative range.

Plates with additional pressure port 1, either G or NPTF ported, allow individual pressure supply for one valve.

The range of VS valve functions have also been enhanced with 2x2/2 valve options.

Designed specifically for vacuum applications the new valve functions are available as 2x2/2 NC, NO, NO/NC derivatives.
