Imass Helps Cut Bridge Scaffolding Process
Imass Helps RMD Kwikform Cut Bridge Scaffolding Process By More than Half. New AutoCAD-based program does a week's work in two days.
He explains that, when TIMET decided to upgrade from AutoCAD, Inventor was recommended to them by a contract designer who had been using the solution on another assignment.
"He told us about this brilliant software he had been using and we were impressed by the work he had done on it," says Mr Allen.
"Our projects are very complex and, at the moment, 90 per cent of our new designs have to be made into prototypes more than once".
"Now we will be able to eliminate much of this work as we can check the design on screen first, animating parts of it if necessary".
He says that including Autodesk Productstream in the package will ensure more disciplined management of data, enabling the design team to re-use certain assemblies in some cases, and so bringing products even faster to market.
"We're delighted to be able to offer training and consultation to TIMET," says Imass business development director, Colin Watson.
"We're sure the combined benefits of these Autodesk solutions will strengthen productivity and help the company maintain its competitive lead in a fast-moving industry".
