The Process and Building Solutions division of Intergraph Corporation has appointed Kurt Ingenthron and Gerhard Sallinger as executive vice presidents.

Ingenthron is responsible for managing all division software development activities.

The Technology organisation includes software development centers in the United States, France, Germany, India, Israel and the United Kingdom.

Ingenthron continues serving as chief technical officer and will remain in the division's Huntsville, Ala., headquarters.

Sallinger is responsible for all sales and marketing activities conducted by a global marketing organisation and four regional business units which include the Americas; Asia Pacific; Western Europe and Africa; and Central Europe and Middle East.

Sallinger remains in the division's Frankfurt, Germany, office.

Capitalising on Market Growth Opportunities David Stinson, president, Intergraph Process and Building Solutions, said, "Working with our global services group, both Gerhard and Kurt will play pivotal roles in our growth and market expansion strategy in 2001 and beyond.

Gerhard's extensive industry experience and sales successes in Europe, our largest market, will prove decisive as we more tightly couple sales and marketing activities to capitalize on growth opportunities.

Kurt's technical expertise and leadership will be crucial in improving current products to better meet customer needs and developing and field testing our next-generation solutions." Ingenthron joined Intergraph in 1978 and served in a variety of development and managerial positions.

Before joining Intergraph Process and Building Solutions as a vice president and chief technical officer in March 2000, Ingenthron served as vice president of product development and chief technical officer for Intergraph Public Safety.

Sallinger joined the Intergraph sales organisation in 1986 and since 1990 held management positions responsible for sales activities in Germany.

Since 1997, his role has expanded to include management of all Intergraph Process and Building Solutions' sales and marketing efforts for the Europe and Africa region.

He is a chemical engineer with more than 24 years of experience in the process industries.

Announcement Made at DaratechPlant 2001 Intergraph Process and Building Solutions made the announcement at the DaratechPlant 2001 Conference and Plant Lifecyle Strategy Workshops.

About 950 attendees, including top management, engineering IT principals and major vendors from the process and power industries worldwide, are expected to participate in the event.
