Stepper motors satisfy demanding
positoning
Mini-stepper drives and high-performance stepper motors provide all the power and performance required by the most demanding positional control applications.
Inmoco's new Pacific Scientific range of PD2400 mini-stepper drives and high-performance stepper motors provide all the power and performance required by the most demanding positional control applications They also provide a cost effective alternative to servo systems in applications with moderate speed requirements

Brushless digital servos have SERCOS connectivity
Already 40% smaller than equivalent brushless digital servo drives, the Pacific Scientific all-digital PC800 range from Inmoco now offers more functionality, with SERCOS connectivity.
Although measuring just 127mm in height, the PD2400 Series mini-stepper drives are both rugged and powerful, supplying up to 6 amps of continuous current per phase for controlling both standard hybrid stepper and low-inertia disc magnet stepper motors.
This performance is not bought at a price, because with 40kHz PWM (Pulse Wave Modulation) operation, the ultra small PD2400 Series is undoubtedly the quietest range of mini-stepper drives available.
The combination of high levels of robustness and high power, plus quiet operation, means that PD2400 drives are ideally suited to applications such as special purpose machinery, X-Y tables and semiconductor manufacturing.

The novel planetary roller screw technology of the Exlar FT Series of force tube actuators from Inmoco offers OEMs and machine builders the benefits of higher speeds, higher load capacities.
Actuator stator design gives 35% more torque
INMOCO has developed its GSX Series, a range of actuators employing T-LAM, a new, segmented lamination stator design, which produces 35% more continuous motor torque.
They also benefit the machine builder with proposed global regulatory approvals, which ensure assure acceptance of the equipment worldwide.
In addition to its many positive operational qualities, the PD2400 Series offers the OEM and user extensive facilities to aid machine integration.
On-board, programmable and optically isolated I/O offers 8 inputs, three 5V dc high-speed inputs and three outputs for heightened functionality and high-speed electronic gearing.
In addition an extended I/O option board adds a further 16 inputs and 8 outputs to the 2400's already high functionality.
Assimilation of the PD2400 Series into any machine environment is made quicker and easier with ToolPAC, Pacific Scientific's Windows-based set-up configuration and development software.
Contained within the software is a ToolPAC Setup Wizard, which machine builders can use to simply configure, program and solve problems in their respective applications.
The software also allows monitoring of the status of drive parameters at any time and provides full control of I/O points for programming and troubleshooting.
The PD2400 Series drive is designed for use with the rugged and well proven POWERPAC range of stepper motors.
These motors provide the highest torques per frame size in the industry (up to 40.2Nm).
A design that encloses optimised magnetics in a "housingless" frame together with a large diameter rotor and new rotor-stator design to produce more torque and provide high acceleration capabilities.
This unique design also features low detent torque for smoother micro-stepping.
In addition, POWERPAC runs cooler than comparable size steppers. Request a free brochure from Inmoco ...
