Inmoco's new Elmo Drum digital servo drive offers OEMs the flexibility to operate with DC brushed, brushless and linear motors, and a range of programming, feedback and communication options
Wizard reduces servo motor wiring costs
Using a motor integration Wizard, Inmoco's range of SMLC servo controllers are being more readily and quickly wired to other makes of servo motors.
It is designed with multi-unit expansion racks to control larger applications with more I/O via a single CPU and control strategy.
This development means that a single Blue Fusion system can now control up to 192 I/O points and up to six axes of motion.
The model 5200 is the latest addition to the Control Technology Blue FusionT Series, a range of web enabled controllers that make the idea of running an entire manufacturing enterprise via the web a practical reality.

Rodless actuator works at 5m/s, strokes to 7.6m
Modular rodless, belt-driven actuators operate at speeds of upt 5m/s, have stroke lengths of up to 7.6m for load capacities up to 750kg and are easy to integrate.
Low cost actuators are simpler to apply
Low cost actuators provide a simple and low cost electrical alternative to fluid power actuators, and to electric drive systems employing ball screw or gear reducer mechanisms.
The Blue Fusion controllers are 32- bit, RISC based units that combine automation and motion control facilities, monitoring and TCP/IP Ethernet web connectivity into a single compact package priced below many non-networking controllers.
The new features available for the first time on the Model 5200 improve the performance/price ratio of the Blue Fusion controller package further.
They include bi-directional email support, which enables the Blue Fusion controller to send alerts or production data via an email message.
This facility also allows users to send an e-mail to the Model 5200 with customized instructions to modify the operation of the controller.
Also enhancing the all round capabilities of the 5200 controller, are facilities for local data logging and Flash file storage.
Local data logging enables millions of points to be recorded in real time: it can be used in conjunction with remote servers to provide users with the convenience of redundant data archival.
Flash file storage handles more immediate data needs, allowing users to store process-related files such as CAD, video and documentation, actually on the controller.
The Model 5200 supports popular protocols such as UDP, TCP/IP, HTTP, and Modbus Master/Slave TCP.
Through DHCP support, it can be configured and appear like any other node on the network.
In addition, the Model 5200 can also be set up as an FTP server for upgrades, support or for propagating control strategies from one control unit to others.
For additional data management, the controller may be used with CTC's family of software, including CTServerT and CT HMIT software.
