Compact servo drives offer simplified
tuning

All digital industrial drives with a velocity loop bandwidth up to 800Hz, offer simplified tuning and unmatched system throughput, 2-3 times that of conventional servo systems.

Inmoco has introduced the Servostar 200 (S200) series from Danaher Motion, the first all digital industrial drives with a velocity loop bandwidth up to 800Hz, offering simplified tuning and unmatched system throughput, as much as 2-3 times that of conventional servo systems The high resolution (24 bit) feedback and high performance 3-5 kHz current loop bandwidth of the S200 also provide smooth motion and rapid acceleration/deceleration to optimize machine performance

The S200 series servo drives bring high performance servo technology into lower power applications than was previously possible, without compromise in terms of reliability or package size.

The package of an S200 drive with a new AKM servo motor provides a complete low-cost servo control solution optimised to specific needs in applications such as semiconductor fabrication, electronic assembly, packaging, medical, and woodworking equipment, among others.

The design of the S200 series offers the OEM the flexibility of torque or velocity control as standard and also optional Indexing and CANopen or DeviceNet Position Control.

The ability of the drives to provide high resolution (24 bit) feedback and high performance 3-5kHz current loop bandwidth guarantees smooth motion which minimizes the harsh torque disturbances that can cut short the life of associated mechanical components.

In addition, users benefit from the drive's compact footprint, the space saved helping to reduce the cost of enclosures and allowing more efficient use of production space on machines.

The task of getting S200Series on-line quickly with the minimum of engineering and support time quickly is greatly assisted by a Windows-based Graphical User Interface, which models the tree format found in Explorer so learning is quick and easy.

In addition, the drives 'smart' feedback and industry leading high bandwidth also facilitate fast and accurate 'plug and play' commissioning by eliminating the need for servo loop tuning in most applications.

Connectivity of the S200 drives is also simplified by a single motor power/feedback cable, and by the fact that all connectors and LED status indicators are easily accessible from the front of the drive.

Once operational, separate 'Keep Alive' power inputs allow rapid recovery from emergency stop conditions on both AC and DC S200 versions.

This function is complemented by full fault protection, locking connectors and optically isolated inputs/outputs, all of which help to prolong machine life and provide greater immunity to accidental damage.

The S200 Series drives are available for operation on both AC (120/240V AC) and DC (20-90V) supplies with current ratings from 1 A rms continuous to 18A rms peak.

They are the ideal product for the export orientated OEM, being UL 508C listed, CE marked, and conforming to EN50178 and EN61800-3 standards. Request a free brochure from Inmoco ...
