The deadline for entries to this year's Starpack awards is looming.

The awards ceremony, dinner and cabaret will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum on May 15 2007 during the UK's largest packaging event, Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition 2007.
Awards categories are: best consumer pack - food and drink; best consumer pack - non-food; best pharmaceutical pack; best shelf-ready pack; best toiletries and cosmetics pack; best transit pack, bulk pack and logistics pack; best component; best in creative cartonboard and the best creative pack using metal.
There will also be awards for the best flexible packaging innovation; best innovation in glass packaging; best innovation to reduce waste; best printed pack; best use of innovative materials; best designer or design house of the year; the business of the year and a range of individual personality and student awards.
The deadline for entries is January 26, 2007.
The Starpack Industry Awards 2007 sponsors include RPC Group, Total Processing and Packaging Exhibition 2007, WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme), Pro Carton (Association of European Cartonboard and Carton Manufacturers) and IOM3 (Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining).
