Improved track rollers offer better
performance
Yoke type and stud type track rollers contain needle rollers or cylindrical roller bearings with a profiled outer ring and can support high radial forces and axial guide forces.
INA's yoke type and stud type track rollers contain needle rollers or cylindrical roller bearings with a profiled outer ring Thanks to their thick-walled outer rings, they are an elegant solution for cam systems, linear systems and conveying applications

Track rollers can support high radial forces and axial guide forces such as might be caused by angular or other misalignment.
Now INA has modified and greatly improved the design of these proven bearings in order to provide even more customer benefits.
In particular, the modified materials and optimised raceway geometry allow the rating life for bearings incorporating cylindrical rollers to be increased by over 30 per cent.

Bearings made for high load/low speed applications
Integral tapered roller bearings for high load/low speed usage are easy to mount, greased for life and require no setting of internal clearance when used in an 'O' arrangement.
Moreover, the dynamic and static load capacity is a remarkable 50 per cent higher than for the previous design.
As the bearing rolls on the mating track, both high radial forces and an axial component from angular misalignment and tilting occur, and these forces are applied through the bearing outer ring.
For bearings with needle rollers, a plastic plain bearing thrust washer is mounted between the rotating outer ring and the stationary thrust washer in order to reduce friction on the sliding surface.
The design also enables the washer to seal the bearing radially and axially; grease consumption is therefore lower and bearing life is increased substantially.
To reduce the Hertzian pressure between the bearing outer ring surface and the mating track, INA's track roller bearings are provided with an optimised outer profile.
Compared to track rollers with the conventional crowned radius, this patented outer ring surface leads to: * lower wear of the outer ring surface and mating track.
* longer service life for the outer ring and mating track.
* higher rigidity in the outer ring contact.
A hexagonal socket on both sides of the roller stud facilitates track roller installation and maintenance, with a mounting nut that is used to secure the bearing.
An additional feature for track rollers with the optional eccentric collar is that they can be easily adjusted to suit the mating track.
The bearings are lubricated through the lubrication nipple that can be positioned on either side of the roller stud, and a lubrication adapter is available for easy connection to a centralised lubrication system.
Full details of the yoke and stud type track rollers is provided in publication LFR, which is available from INA Bearing Company. Request a free brochure from Schaeffler (UK) ...
