Roger Evans, plant director at Schaeffler (UK), has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to the engineering industry in Wales.
As well as managing the day-to-day operations of the company's manufacturing plant in Llanelli since 2001, Evans has also been instrumental in formulating and driving forward a manufacturing strategy in Wales.
18 May 2009 - Toyota has granted an achievement award in the 'supply' category to the Schaeffler Group in recognition of the quality of products and services supplied by the company.
14 May 2009 - The Schaeffler Group is now ranked in the top 10 most innovative companies in Germany, according to latest figures released by the German Patent and Trade Mark Office.
