The IPPSA Team launced its website http://www.ippsa.org that includes details on production technology and management seminars.

IPPSA has been launched to expand the knowledge of Finite Capacity Scheduling (FCS) and Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) technology among manufacturing and service companies The demand for accurate schedules, short cycle times and predictable delivery has elevated planning and scheduling to a paramount position of importance for manufacturing companies

IPPSA is dedicated to improving manufacturing production performance and profitability through the collection and dissemination of advanced planning and scheduling technology.

IPPSA aims to close the gap that exists between advanced scheduling technology and current manufacturing practice and to.

* Raise awareness of production improvement benefits available from finite scheduling technology.

* Conduct FCS/APS seminars throughout the world.

* Establish procedures for making an effective transition from infinite to finite scheduling.

* Establish planning and scheduling performance parameters.

* Promote the integration of Material and Capacity software applications.

* Develop and maintain a dictionary of terms, acronyms, and phrases used to define Finite Capacity scheduling (available on the website).

* Educate companies on why and how to move from traditional scheduling that assumes infinite capacity to advanced finite scheduling technology.
