In2grate supplies to buildings solutions provider
Enterprise software solution provider, In2grate, has supplied its d2order fully integrated software package to Northern Irelands award-winning fast-track building solutions provider, The McAvoy Group.
The contract, worth GBP 160,000, is for 60 seats and is expected to be completed by the end of 2003.
Bob Clements, Managing Director of in2grate, comments on the nature of the Manesty implementation.
"Like many design and engineer to order companies, Manesty had lots of silos of disconnected information.
It had used a PDM system but this didn't adequately resolve the connectivity issues, or the contract management difficulties inherent in this type of contract driven business.
Manesty accurately discerned 2 issues and we identified one common problem, a lack of visibility of information.
It was immediately clear that d2order would provide the joined-up solution that Manesty needed." The d2order solution being implemented at Manesty comprises a PDM system fully integrated with a job contract control system.
Each user is provided with a common user interface on the desktop which provides seamless visibility and access to all relevant areas of both systems.
Duplication is removed at every stage of the business process therefore liberating considerable savings in terms of accuracy and timeliness of information.
Manesty's Jeff Robinson outlines why they chose the d2order solution.
"Most business system vendors fail to appreciate the specific requirements of the contract, design to order environment, on the premise that all manufacturing organisations produce pre-designed products to sell off the shelf.
Right from initial discussions it was clear that in2Grate fully understood that the design to order cycle starts at the enquiry stage right through to the after-delivery installation and service requirements." Manesty has high expectations from d2order which both in2grate and Manesty are confident will be delivered, as Robinson concludes.
"Consistency of specification from Enquiry through to Service Delivery is key to ensuring accurate cost and margin control.
By controlling the whole process d2order will ensure that these critical business factors are consistently achieved.".
