Supply chain management system, comprising a complete range of integrated applications, covers from front office through to engineering, manufacturing and distribution functions.

At the CIM 2003 exhibition, Lilly Software Associates will demonstrate the company's VISUAL Enterprise supply chain management system, comprising a complete range of integrated applications, covering front office through to engineering, manufacturing and distribution functions The system is designed specifically to meet the needs of small to medium-size enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing industry, including specific market sectors

A distinguishing feature of the system, claims Lilly Software, is the range of suites - built around the VISUAL Enterprise core - available to support the specialised requirements of particular industries including the aerospace and automotive sectors.

A wide choice of suites and individual applications are available in the VISUAL Enterprise range including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Quality Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), E-Business and Warehouse Management System (WMS) options.

Most run on Windows NT, UNIX, LINUX, VMS, Novell or OS400 operating systems.

Certified for both IBM iSeries and Netfinity servers, the applications can use SQLBase, Microsoft SQLServer, ORACLE or IBM DB2/400 relational databases.

VISUAL Enterprise is attractive to SMEs for many reasons.

It offers a rapid return on investment (ROI) as it can be implemented quickly and due to a simple to use graphical user interface (GUI), many personnel throughout the organisation - from the shop floor to the top floor - can soon begin to productively use and gain advantage from the range of applications.

The business-orientated features help to improve the organisation's overall productivity, supply chain communications, integration, decision-making capability and competitiveness.

The system is highly scalable in that it may be expanded as a business grows or changes, yet the system's functionality will remain well in step with the scale of the business, whether it is a small, fast-growing or medium-size SME.

A partnership with Microsoft ensures that Lilly Software's products incorporate the latest technological advances.

For example, the global supplier to the manufacturing industry has strongly embraced the software giant's.NET technology, making e-business a practical proposition for SMEs.

Customers of Lilly Software are typically SMEs, such as original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and sub-contractors, including the subsidiaries of large multinational corporations in industries such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical device and other sectors.

Lilly Software Associates (LSA) provides a complete line of enterprise and supply chain management solutions for manufacturers and distributors.

With its easy-to-use graphical nature, the VISUAL suite of products helps companies capture accurate, real-time data about their business processes using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Quality Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), E-Business and Warehouse Management System (WMS) capabilities.

Most VISUAL applications run on Windows NT, UNIX, LINUX, VMS, Novell or OS400.

They can use SQLBase, Microsoft SQLServer, ORACL or IBM DB2/400 relational databases and are certified for both IBM iSeries and Netfinity servers.

Lilly Software's European headquarters are based in Royston, Hertfordshire, from where the company manages a full range of sales and technical support services throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and continental Europe.

The supplier is a founding member of the ERP Forum, a group of leading software vendors that address the needs of the manufacturing industry in the UK.
