The ability to convert four often-encountered wishes of a manufacturing company into reality and improve the performance of it's business will be the theme of an IT software stand at the CIM Show.

The ability to convert four often-encountered wishes of a manufacturing company into reality and improve the performance of it's business will be the theme of Lilly Software Associates' stand at the CIM Show this year Typically, claims Lilly Software, the first wish is the need to reduce inventory, shorten lead times and speed the delivery of orders, a key business requirement that may be achieved with VISUAL Easy Lean, Lilly Software's recently announced system to support lean manufacturing practice

Second, the wish to streamline supply chain processes may be achieved with a brand new product from Lilly Software, VISUAL Workflow, the company's latest product to help raise productivity levels in the factory.

The third wish, to accurately measure and analyse overall business performance, may be achieved with Lilly Software's VISUAL Business Intelligence, a powerful and competitively priced resource that is becoming a 'must have' for any company that wishes to survive in today's global market.

The fourth wish - finding an easy-to-use supply chain management system that will let more people gain access to the benefits of using it - may be realised through a key feature of Lilly Software products: a market leading graphical interface.

Further, the fully integrated architecture of the company's products allows data to flow unimpeded throughout an enterprise and makes the addition of modules a straightforward process.

Clive Mattson, Managing Director of Lilly Software's European headquarters, said: "These four wishes reflect real and typical concerns manufacturers' are facing in today's economy.

But equally important, if a new and fully integrated system is able to be implemented rapidly, and through ease of use, it enables users to gain results quickly, then significant return on investment (RoI) and higher productivity will be achievable for small to medium-size enterprise (SME) manufacturers.

Lilly Software is able to turn all these wishes into reality." Besides the three products cited above, the company will be exhibiting and demonstrating its comprehensive range of supply chain management, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and warehouse management software.

Lilly Software will also be presenting a paper in the seminars being staged at the CIM Show by the ERP Vendors Forum, a group of leading software vendors that address the needs of the manufacturing industry in the UK.

The company is a founding member of the forum initiative.

Lilly Software Associates (LSA) provides a complete line of enterprise and supply chain management solutions for manufacturers and distributors.

With its easy-to-use graphical nature, the VISUAL suite of products helps companies capture accurate, real-time data about their business processes using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Quality Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), E-Business and Warehouse Management System (WMS) capabilities.

Most VISUAL applications run on Windows NT, UNIX, LINUX, VMS, Novell or OS400.

They can use SQLBase, Microsoft SQLServer, Oracle or IBM DB2/400 relational databases and are certified for both IBM iSeries and Netfinity servers.

Lilly Software's European headquarters are based in Royston, Hertfordshire, from where the company manages a full range of sales and technical support services throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and continental Europe.

The supplier is a founding member of the ERP Vendors Forum, a group of leading software vendors that address the needs of the manufacturing industry in the UK.
