Enterprising companies around the world have selected Infor for its global scale, business-specific experience and end-to-end distribution solutions.

In addition to new customers, existing companies like Huttig, McNaughton-McKay Electric Company, Smith Turf and Irrigation and W A Roosevelt, among others, continue to turn to Infor to help them drive down costs, enhance operational efficiencies and improve profitability with new functionality and users.

"Infor continues its long heritage and commitment to providing business-specific software with experience built in to companies of all sizes in the distribution industry," said Mike Frichol , Infor's vice president of global industry and product marketing.

"We are exploiting this leadership position to continue delivering flexible and scalable solutions to help distributors implement strategies that drive business growth, lower costs and give them end-to-end control of their business." Infor allows distributors and wholesalers to exploit their existing technology today by adding additional enterprise solutions, such as demand planning and robust warehouse management, from a single provider, lowering total cost of ownership.

Over the past year, more than 1,800 distributors maximised their IT investment with additional solutions and services from Infor, allowing these companies to extend the functionality of their ERP solutions and benefit from greater visibility across their organisations.

Through Infor Open SOA, distribution customers will be able to extend and evolve their software systems even further with new Infor solutions, third-party applications and their own in-house innovations.

Infor has experienced increased demand for its solutions from distributors in specific industries including building materials, electrical, industrial, paper, janitorial and sanitation, plumbing and HVAC.

Today, Infor has 64% market share among building materials distributors with revenue of $25 million and above, and nearly half of the nation's top 100 electrical distributors use Infor distribution solutions.

Additionally, a third of industrial distributors worldwide with revenue over US$25 million use Infor.

Building materials distributor Home Acres Building Supply Co recently implemented Infor ERP SX.enterprise in its U.S.

operations and praised Infor for its strong domain experience and the business-specific functionality of its solutions.

Infor's knowledge of the unique needs of distributors resulted in a timely implementation, delivering immediate value to Home Acres.

"Infor's comprehensive functionality meant that we didn't have to explain how we do business and then wait for them to design the software to meet our needs," said Larry Poll, Home Acres project manager.

"Infor has deep experience in the building materials industry and its sales and support staff already understood our business model, which meant our initial implementations were completed much faster than expected".

The company's commitment to enrich the value of customers' current investment in Infor solutions, extend their core ERP applications with business-specific solutions and evolve the Infor product line to produce next-generation solutions continues to be a successful strategy.

Infor has one of the highest customer retention rates in the industry.

"Built-in functionality, lower total cost of ownership and the ability to grow with the customer are the primary reasons distributors choose Infor," said Thad Zylka, vice president of Distribution Solutions for Infor.

"But they stay with us because we continue to deliver value after the sale through our world-class support, product enhancements and innovation, and business-specific experience, which ultimately maximises their IT investment.".
