The Industrial Computers Archer runs Microsoft Windows Mobile version 5.0 and is powered by the Intel XScale 520Mhz processor.
Weighing less than 17 ounces, the Archer Field PC is compact and ultra-rugged for use in the harshest conditions.
It meets IP67 and Mil-Std-810F standards for drop, vibration, immersion, humidity, and operating temperatures.
The Archer case is made of sturdy, lightweight magnesium and features an easy-to-grip over-moulding.
The vibrant colour display offers excellent visibility even in the brightest lighting conditions.
The large, backlit, tactile, tough keys are optimised for outdoor use.
The rechargeable Li-ion battery operates for more than 20 hours on one charge and recharges in 5 hours or less; intelligence within the battery provides accurate charge status to the user at all times.
The Communications Module provides USB host and client plus 9-pin RS-232 for use with peripheral devices.
User accessible, sealed CF and SD card slots can accommodate a camera, GPS receiver, bar code scanner, RFID, or data storage cards.
Enable wireless communication via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular modem cards.
Simply plug the cards in and attach the appropriate extended cap.
Caps are fully sealed and shockproof.
Integrated Bluetooth wireless technology is available as an option.
The Archer includes Microsoft Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, Word Mobile, Outlook Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, and ActiveSync for the desktop PC.
These programs deliver improved productivity by allowing seamless synchronisation of files, tasks, and appointments with an office PC.
Voice recorder and voice command software are also included.
The Archer runs off-the-shelf applications written for Windows Mobile devices.
