With the increasing rate of virus, worm and other attacks on control systems worldwide, a panel discussion will highlight reliability and security of manufacturing and control systems.

Evan Hand, electrical CFL leader at Kraft, will moderate a panel on manufacturing and controls security on October 25 at ISA Expo 2005 in Chicago, Illinois With the increasing rate of virus, worm and other attacks on control systems worldwide, the presentation and panel discussion will highlight what the industry is doing to improve the reliability and security of manufacturing and control systems

The session will introduce attendees to the key principles behind security, highlight what ISA SP-99 and other industry efforts are doing to address the issues and cover industrial trends as they relate to control system security.

Panelists who will participate in the session and be available for attendee's questions include Rahul Bhojani PE, CAP, the process control systems engineer at Bayer and Eric Byres, research manager at the British Columbia Institute of Technology Also involved will be Thomas Good, project engineer for DuPont, Bob Webb, a consultant and Robert C Webb PE.
