Self-smoothing systems speed flooring
refurbs
Two self-smoothing cementitious systems facilitate speedy installation and extremely quick curing, permitting truly 'fast track' installation and a rapid return to use, even for large floor areas.
It has been a persistent problem - ask anyone who has been involved with the flooring industry for any amount of time For years, the refurbishment of commercial and industrial floors has been a growing sector of the UK market, yet during this time the habitual spectre of downtime has never been too far away

Until now, that is.
Manufacturing companies and other businesses have simply had to 'grin and bear' the dual hindrances of longwinded application processes and extended material curing times in manufacturing jargon, 'downtime'.
For the businessman, of course, downtime means reduced production and a negative influence on the organisation's profitability.

The requirement for a new or a refurbished floor may be pressing, but Company's simply cannot afford to lose out on production time and/or possible business opportunities, because their factory is inoperative.
It was precisely because of such problems that Instarmac's two self-smoothing cementitious Cemfloor systems were developed.
The Cemfloor IB and Cemfloor IT flooring system facilitates speedy installation and extremely quick curing, permitting truly fast track installation and a rapid return to use, even for large floor areas.
The primary function of Cemfloor IB, which is bonded to the prepared substrate by Cemprime AR, is to provide a self-smoothing underlay, in order to even-out excessive undulations prior to the application of Cemfloor IT.
Whilst it is designed as part of the overall system, it is often used in lightly trafficked areas as a final wearing surface in its own right.
For more demanding environments, Cemfloor IT provides the final durable and seamless wearing surface.
When applied by pump, up to 1500m2/day can be installed - an application rate significantly faster than conventional hand applied materials.
In addition, the system's self-smoothing capabilities allow the closest tolerances to be achieved rapidly.
Importantly, at 20degC, Cemfloor IT achieves a compressive strength of 3N/mm2 in just 4 hours, 10N/mm2 in 24 hours and greater than 35N/mm2 in 28 days.
This fast curing capability (the material will accept foot trafficking after 4 hours and light traffic after 18 hours) combined with a moisture content of less than 5% after 24 hours, enables the installation of surface coatings or other systems the following day.
If required, however, Cemfloor IT can be pigmented to provide a coloured maintenance free floor, eliminating the need for initial or periodic re-coating.
Cemfloor IT has exceptional abrasion resistance, together with high flexural, tensile and bond strength, making it able to accept the wear and tear of forklift trucks and other heavy traffic.
The final application thickness range is between 5mm and 15mm.
