Diamond end mills offer longer life in graphite
Diamond coated, high wear resistant micro grain carbide end mills have a 30 degree helix specifically designed for machining graphite with longer tool life than equivalent carbide tools.
Micro-grained ball nose cutter mills hard steels
Manufactured from ultra wear resistant micro grain carbide, a two flute ball nosed, straight shank cutter is designed to machine steels hardened to 65 Rockwell C.
The 2 flute solid carbide, straight shank cutter has a 50 degree right hand helix, centre cutting and is also available in long series with a short flute for specific applications.
The 2051 series is manufactured from ultra wear resistant micro grain carbide.
The 2051 series has been specifically designed for machining aluminium.
The cutters are capable of machining aluminium at cutting speeds that exceed the capabilities of modern high speed machines.
Despite being specifically manufactured for the machining of aluminium, the 2051 series has the versatility to machine a host of materials ranging from plastic to brass and copper.
The long reach cutter with a short length of cut provides maximum rigidity, whilst the specially developed geometry delivers optimum performance.
The 2051 series is capable of cutting shallow and deep pocket applications without modifications.
A significant advantage of this range is the shank diameter, which is reduced below the cutting diameter to provide exceptional flexibility of protrusion from the collet or tool holder.
The company will also be launching its new 2082 series of cutters at MACH 2004.
The 2 flute ball nose end mill series is also manufactured from micro grain solid carbide and has a 50 degree right hand helix with right hand cut and centre cutting.
Both cutters are available in sizes from 6-20mm diameter increasing in 2mm increments.
The length of cut ranges from 6-20mm with the overall cutter length running from 100 to 150mm.
The 2051 and the 2082 series of cutting tools can both be modified to specific requirements within ITC's state of the art CNC manufacturing facility.
The capabilities of the full range of products will be demonstrated on stand 4638 on a Matsuura machining centre.
