An inexpensive, precision dot marking tool - designed for use in a CNC milling machine - uses compressed air at a pressure of 4 to 6 bars to operate a carbide stylus to impart a dot marking.

The Rapidmark tool is a revolutionary Swiss made, high quality, professional, and yet inexpensive, precision dot marking tool designed for use in a CNC milling machine using compressed air at a pressure of 4 to 6 bars The Rapidmark tool works using compressed air through the body of the tool to push the carbide stylus down through the stylus guide

A spring reacts to push the stylus back up.

This movement is repeated at 200 to 300Hz thus creating a very rapid up and down movement of the solid carbide stylus against the work piece thereby indenting the piece to create markings using dots.

The Rapidmark tool is supplied as standard with a 16mm Weldon shank.

Other shank sizes can be supplied on request (5/8in/18 mm).

The shank of the Rapidmark tool is fitted into the tool holder of the CNC machine.

The tool holder can be fitted into an automatic tool changer to be called up for use when programmed or fitted directly into the machine.

Marking program details to mark letters, numbers or logos or images depend on the program used.

When the dots are close together a continuous line or image is created.

The capacities of the CNC machine marking program will determine the range of styles of marking that can be used - consult your marking program supplier.

The overall speed of marking is very high - up to 3000mm of line/min.

Serial numbers, letters, logos -in fact any 2D image can be marked using the Rapidmark tool in conjunction with a marking program in a CNC machine.
