Automotive orders made for inspection

UK-based ITP Group repoted orders of GBP 1.5 million for specialist inspection and milling machines to equip a new styling studio for Aston Martin.
Rugby-based manufacturer ITP Group have announced orders from the automotive industry totalling over GBP 1.5 million, all signed within a two-month period The orders include specialist inspection and milling machines to equip a new styling studio for prestige car manufacturer Aston Martin in Gaydon, Warwickshire

Dick Turpin, managing director of ITP Group, said that the Aston Martin contract was not just a significant coup for the company.
He said that the order showed that Midlands' the automotive industry was still very much alive - despite the recent closures of MG Rover in Longbridge and Peugeot's Ryton plant.
Turpin said: "We were competing with several companies, all of which were based overseas.
Aston Martin is still viewed as something of a British institution and it is very fitting that they chose a British manufacturer for such a major contract." ITP employs almost 50 staff at their Butlers Leap site.
Automotive orders included similar automotive styling systems for Bentley Motors, Crewe, and Gordon Murray Design, headed by the Formula One legend namesake.
Turpin added, "There have been significant changes within the UK automotive sector in the last year and it was imperative that we developed to meet new demands.
We're hoping that our success can continue and that the Midlands can remain as the UK heart of the industry.".
