Instron, a leading provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, has introduced Bluehill 2 software, the next generation of its fully integrated, modular software package.
The most powerful and flexible materials testing package available, Bluehill 2 provides laboratory managers and test technicians with easy, tailored application solutions.
Bluehill 2's next-generation software features VersaChannel for data acquisition from up to 16 additional input channels, a new raw data viewer, API (Advanced Programming Interface), user defined raw data and results export, and test file export for use in databases including Microsoft Access From the simplicity of a basic peak load test to the complexity of a cyclic test, Bluehill 2 users can get fast results with minimal training.
Intuitive features include: color-coded tabs; screens tailored to the requirements of each test type; and parameters such as fixture set-up, test terminology, unit choices and calculations which are automatically configured.
Enhanced graphics and report modules are available to improve the professional finish of results and graphics while creating the flexibility to have the user define the layout of their screen as they run tests.
The software's six application testing modules create versatility and include: Tension, designed with the flexibility to meet a wide range of international standards and to develop testing methods for new materials; Compression, providing flexibility to insure data integrity; Flexural, evaluating bend and flexure on a variety of materials; Peel, tear and friction (PTF), handling complex data reduction procedures for faster, more reliable results; Metals, executing easy and accurate tensile tests and adapting to material properties to ensure correct change points are used for different rates; and TestProfiler, achieving fast and easy cyclic test development and results.
Available in 8 different languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Polish, Bluehill 2 is directly compatible with a wide variety of Instron systems, including the 3300, 4200, 4300, 4400, 5500, 5800, and 8800 series systems.
