The JAI CV-A1, an affordable 1.4-Megapixel (1392 H x 1040 V) CCD machine vision camera, features small size, analog output, and set-up via RS-232C The CV-A1's analog output places fewer restrictions on cable length and complexity, and allows smaller-diameter cable to be used, making this camera a good choice for the large existing analog market

5 megapixel camera has high resolution
For use in automated parts inspection systems, JAI's 5 megapixel progressive scan camera offers superb thermal management and pre-processing to guarantee optimum sensor operation.
The camera itself measures just 29mm (1.14")H x 44mm (1.73")W x 66mm (2.6")L, features a 1/2" progressive scan CCD (Sony ICX205AL), and operates at 16 frames per second.
Like all of JAI's A-series cameras, the CV-A1 eliminates the risk of operator setup error by featuring remote "switchless" set-up via its RS-232C interface.
This is especially useful for applications in which the camera is located deep inside a system, making regular access difficult.
Its mechanical switches have reduced the failure rate to 100,000 hours MTFB (mean time between failures).
