Eliminate static in packaging

Speed of service is an essential factor for clients whose direct marketing campaigns are highly targeted and time dependent.
Any delays will cause major problems for companies such as Tesco, MBNA and other major insurance companies who rely on 4DM to print literally millions of direct mail pieces.
With an impressive plant list including finishing, paper enclosing and polywrapping equipment, 4DM also has a number of both Oce cut sheet and continuous laser printing machines.
It was on the continuous laser printers that the operators were experiencing static problems that resulted in sheet feeding errors and paper bursts.
The paper is fed into the laser printer from a reel, trimmed and split and then cut into forms before being delivered as single sheets.
Meech was called in to help solve the static problems and ensure that the laser printers were there to work trouble free - around the clock.
The solution was simple and straightforward.
The installation of a Meech 915 Shockless AC system solved the problems.
The company was so pleased with the performance of the 915 system that after an initial trial on one machine, two machines now have the Meech 915 system installed and are working happily 24/7.
To give an idea of the amount of work that they undertake - for Tesco clubcards alone 6 million letters are printed.
Phil Brown, Maintenance Manager at 4DM says that the 915 systems worked straight away and have needed no maintenance since installation.
"It has increased both throughput and productivity for the company." he commented. Request a free brochure from Meech International ...
