Small temperature logger has big capacity
Single-channel temperature logger is housed in a 16mm diameter stainless steel container, yet it measures and records up to 2048 time stamped temperature recordings.
Among the applications for which it is designed are greenhouses, horticulture, agriculture, warehouses, food transport, and storage from production through to point of sale.
It may also be used for general environmental studies and audits.
Art gallery monitoring along with museums artefacts in transit, storage or on display together with hospital environments and pharmaceutical manufacturing are other areas where this logger can be used - these plus heating ventilation and air conditioning, refrigeration and general quality monitoring.
With a 12 x 25.5 mm LCD real time data display of RH, temperature and alarm status, the logger has a user programmable sample interval of from one second to two hours.
The temperature reading can be in either degC or degF.
The logger operates over the temperature range of -40degC to +85degC (-40degF to + 185degF) Accuracy is +/-0.6degC (-20 to +50degC) and ñ 1.2degC (-40 to +185degC).
The RH range is 0 to 100 %RH and accuracy is +/-3 %RH.
Logger resolution overall is 0.1deg.
The logger also has user defined Min/Max alarm settings, along with scheduled stop/start time setting.
The logger has a RS232 programming interface and one interface can be used with multiple loggers.
The software is free and easy to use.
Data is saved in text format for easy transfer to other programmes and a sleep mode or non-sleep mode is easily programmed.
The user replaceable battery has a low indication and data is retained when the battery is either low or removed.
The dimensions of the logger are only 80 x 55 x 22mm and the housing is waterproof for the 8828, and water resistant for the 8829.
