Jervis B Webb - a world leader in material handling solutions - has signed a licensing agreement with Savant Automation.
Jervis B Webb - a world leader in material handling solutions - has signed a licensing agreement with Savant Automation, under which the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based company will act as a licensee of Webb's patented and proprietary automated technologies Per the agreement, Savant will design, manufacture and sell versions of the Webb Company's Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) products, which include SmartCart, HV-3 Unit Load Vehicles and the newly launched SmartLoader throughout North America

The company has a history of AGV innovation and is widely recognized for providing state-of-the-art, customer-tested products.
Over the pastFor more than three decades, Savant's staff has manufactured and installed hundreds of successful AGV systems.
"The marketplace demands inexpensive AGVs for assembly and transportation processes, as well as fork AGVs that can automatically load semi trucks.
These Webb products meet those needs," said Garry Koff, Savant Automation's president.
"We're looking forward to leveraging our established AGV market presence to provide customers with these exciting new AGV product solutions." Savant will manufacture the Webb Company's patented technologies from its operations facility in Grand Rapids, Mich., and will market the AGV technologies under different product names.
The Webb Company will continue to directly market and manufacture its complete line of AGV products and technologies from its facility in Harbor Springs, Mich.
