Water-jets cut gaskets at speed

A one-stop-shop for fast and economical supply of cut gaskets across all sectors of UK industry uses latest water jet cutting techniques to give a fast turn round.

Gasket Express has been launched by James Walker as the one-stop-shop for fast and economical supply of cut gaskets across all sectors of UK industry Cut gaskets for standard flanges are available off-the-shelf in a full range of jointing materials

Non-standard gaskets and profiles are produced almost instantly, without tooling charges, by state-of-the-art water-jet cutters.

"The service has been developed for JIT contracts where gasket supplies are time critical," explained business development manager John Allen.

"It is also a highly cost-effective way for customers to obtain prototypes and low volumes of special gasket designs.

"We arrange same day courier despatch of standard gaskets and the majority of specials.

This is set to be the UK's premier service for gasket and profile cutting with reliability of supply as a paramount feature." The water-jet cutters at the heart of Gasket Express will work directly from customers' specifications sent as e-mail, DXF files and CAD files on CD or disk.

Scaled drawings and sample gaskets can be accurately scanned into the machines; virtually all standard flange designs are already on the system.

"As well as gaskets, these machines produce high-accuracy profiles from virtually any material up to 40mm thickness, including 75mm stainless steel and 150mm polyurethane foam", said John Allen. Request a free brochure from James Walker and Co ...
