Spindles offer high accuracy and running stability
Used throughout the machine tool industry for over 70 years, spindles for precision as well as high speed processing applications offer high accuracy and absolute stability of rotational speed.
Miniature ballscrews offer high durability
High precision miniature ballscrews cater for the increased demand from designers and specifiers for small and compact ballscrews that offer high durability and accuracy of movement.
Historically, machine tool spindles are tested using individual manually operated test equipment which requires operator intervention and is laborious to document, limited in scope and can be subjective in terms of interpretation and operator recording.
The new Jena Tec Bosch test rig allows for each spindle to have a unique record and test programme which is automatically programmed through a range of test cycles unmanned.
Specific data can be captured and functionality of the spindle tested including the following.
Motor Current logging.
Automated run in procedure.
Bearing Temperature and Lubrication.
Encoder Performance.
Tool Clamp/Unclamp either hydraulic or pneumatic.
Drawbar switch setting.
Hydraulic actuation.
Cooling efficiency.
Air purge operation.
The PC based architecture of the Bosch control is easy to use and presents the data in a clear format for the operator to observe and additionally can be exported into a time/date log with specific key parameters recorded and documented.
The system has been designed to provide a number of custom reports to allow quality assurance test certificates to be produced after each satisfactory spindle run.
What this means to machine tool customers, be they in the aerospace, automotive, woodworking, oil/gas or precision engineering industries is that they can be assured of an OEM standard quality test programme for their spindle which can be audited and tracked to their specific spindle providing a higher level of assurance in the repair conducted by the spindle repairer.
In addition the Jena Tec's extensive spindle repair and design capability we also offer customer machining and ballscrew and actuator repair and replacement services.
