Westinghouse Rail Systems has gone into production with MatrixOne Engineering Central and MatrixOne Document Central within its research and development organisation to improve change control and configuration management of documents, allowing WRSL to maintain full audit history and regulatory compliance.
Following a successful Matrix10 pilot program, WRSL plans to deploy MatrixOne solutions more widely throughout the London Underground project, and beginning in early 2004, document and part management will be rolled out project by project throughout its engineering and project delivery departments.
"The installation of any major new IT infrastructure into a company can be challenging," said Charles Riley, Technical Director and board member of WRSL responsible for the project to date.
