Lubricant additives benefit SS tube drawing
Work to significantly enhance the lubrication of highly chlorinated tube drawing lubricants - and deep drawing - has lead to the discovery of additives which offer considerable performance benefits.
Lubricants smooth severe cold metal reductions
A range of lubricants can be applied as a coating for the most severe cold reductions in stainless steel alloy, and titanium and are suitable for the most arduous operations.
A white good manufacturer has found Superdraw FS to give higher performance with scrap rates approaching zero.
The product can be applied at much lower weightings making it significantly more cost effective.
It can be simply removed with a warm water rinse; the use of aggressive cleaning chemicals can be avoided.
Operators found the product more pleasant to use.
A customer was looking to improve the cleanliness of degreased components.
They were using an alkaline spray wash cleaner and still getting unsatisfactory degreasing on some of their components due to the heavy forming oil they were using.
The use of this new technology fully water soluble technology enabled the customer to obtain excellent cleaning results and satisfactory coating of their components.
Superdraw FS is based on a specially optimized blend of water soluble lubricity additives which give enhanced lubrication on a large variety of metals, including aluminium, stainless steel, copper, zintec, mild steel and others.
The product is non-staining, gives residual temporary corrosion protection, and doesn't age to give sticky or gummy deposits which are difficult to remove.
Superdraw FS can be used on deep-drawing, drawing and forming of difficult operations.
The lubricant does not affect subsequent painting, or enameling on all metals.
This new product range can perform operations from blanking, piercing, deep drawing of stainless steel sinks, bending, nibbling on a range of metals.
