Metal working fluids reduce hazards

A John Neale product story

A range of water mix metal working fluids to enable work shops to use the lowest possible hazard labeled metal working fluids.

John Neale has introduced a range of water mix metal working fluids to enable work shops to use the lowest possible hazard labeled metal working fluids.

The company said that it had spent extensive development time in optimising the chemistry for its hazard label free products so that the benefits in operator comfort would not lead to compromise in performance.

They also recognized the need for a range of products to meet the requirements of a wide variety of metal working operations.

Hence the introduction of four advanced high performance products.

An effort has been made to future proof the lubricants and the following materials have been avoided: chlorine based chemicals, boron and amides, DEA, Triazine biocides, halogens and sulphur, nitrites, phenolic couplers, NP chemicals and colouring dyes.

The range consists of the following.

* Sicherlube 36 - a synthetic lubricant high performance cutting fluid, water white transparent for easy work-piece visibility.

It can be used for thread cutting, reaming, deep hole drilling on ferrous alloys (high tensile steel, stainless steel) aluminium alloys, inconel and other high performance alloys.

* Sicherlube GP - a high performance lubricant suitable for all metals and alloys, high performance and very low odour in use.

* Sicherlube T - a low oil semi-synthetic cutting fluid with excellent work-piece visibility and good general machining.

This does contain amines.

* Sicherlube M70 - an ultra low foam product with superb machining characteristics.

It can be used for creep feed grinding as well as the most difficult machining on difficult metals.
