JobsGroup.net has attracted an extra 1.1 million unique users in 12 months, increasing the number of jobseekers using the sites to 3.6 million, an increase of 44%.

JobsGroup.net, the UK's largest independent network of niche jobsites, attracted 3.6 million unique users during 2006, an increase of 1.1 million - or 44% - on 2005 Mark Hepworth, managing director, commented, "2006 was an incredible year for JobsGroup.net as the company experienced explosive growth to become the UK's largest independent operator of niche jobsites with record-breaking traffic levels and registrations." He added: "The awards, nominations, accreditations and innovations are certainly nice to shout about, but more importantly they will help us to deliver a faster, more flexible, and more effective service to you in 2007." JobsGroup.net achievements in 2006 included the following

* Artificial Intelligence Matching (AIM) (Launched November 2006) - JobsGroup.net launched Artificial Intelligence Matching (AIM) on JustEngineers.net after 12 months of development and beta testing with Burning Glass Technologies of San Diego.

AIM dramatically improves the speed, accuracy and flexibility of online recruitment for both recruiters and jobseekers.

* Best Online Service (Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2006) - JobsGroup.net is awarded the highest accolade in online recruitment for outstanding achievements in creativity, innovation, competitive advantage and services to both recruiters and jobseekers.

* Number One for Placements (Top 100 Online Recruitment Sites 2006) - JobsGroup.net is recognised for placing more candidates than anyone else by Online Recruitment Magazine (OnRec).

* Most Popular Site for Technical Jobseekers (NORAS 2006) - JobsGroup.net is named the most popular destination for jobseekers in technical sectors including engineering, rail, construction, aviation, defence and utilities in the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS).

* Best Technical Innovation in Online Recruitment (OnRec Awards 2006) - JobsGroup.net was short listed at the Online Recruitment Magazine (OnRec) Awards for Best Technical innovation following substantial investment in AI technology and after achieving the global W-Mark quality certification.

* Innovative Online Marketing (OnRec Awards 2006) - JobsGroup.net was short listed at the Online Recruitment Magazine (OnRec) Awards 2006 for Best Technical Innovation in Online Recruitment following a series of diverse and inventive campaigns in both online and offline media.
