Connect many devices on same safety circuit
A cost effective solution makes it possible to connect many types of safety devices on the same safety circuit and still achieve category 4 according to EN 954-1.
The two-hand enabling device consists of two Safe Ball switches mounted on a specially designed profile containing an Eva sensor target which requires no external power supply.
The enabling device is connected to the machine either via a suitable safety relay or safety PLC.
To ensure the device is located in a safe location within the machine area, the device is inserted into a conveniently located docking station which recognises the presence of the Eva sensor target by an integral mounted Adam sensor.
With the enabling device inserted in the docking station the two safe balls are operated causing the machine to operate.
If the device is removed from the docking station or the safe balls released these actions are detected and a signal given to stop the machine.
This system ensures that hands are kept free from dangerous machine zones when the machine is operated during maintenance or during set-up periods.
